Plain-English Terms

Terms of Service

Pre-launch. This is a working draft pending review by a Texas business attorney before CoreInsp opens to the public.

1. What CoreInsp is, and what it isn't

CoreInsp is a software platform — a marketplace that connects refinery and petrochemical inspection workers with inspection companies. CoreInsp is not a staffing agency.

CoreInsp does not employ inspectors, pay inspectors, supervise their work, dictate their rates, or assign jobs. Workers contract directly with inspection companies. Inspection companies hire, schedule, and pay workers under their own terms. CoreInsp surfaces options; it does not direct work.

2. Who can use the platform

You must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States to create an inspector account. Inspection companies must be legitimate businesses with the authority to hire inspection labor.

You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and when you build your profile. False or misleading information — fabricated credentials, impersonated employers, fake job postings — is grounds for account suspension.

3. Credentials are self-reported

Inspectors enter their own certifications, specialty experience, and employment history. CoreInsp displays what workers report; CoreInsp does not independently verify credentials, monitor their currency, or audit their accuracy.

Inspection companies are responsible for verifying credentials at the gate before allowing a worker on site, the same way they would today. Treating a CoreInsp profile as a substitute for in-person credential verification is your decision and your risk.

4. Worker autonomy

Workers control their own employment status, calendar, and visibility. CoreInsp documents what workers and companies each declare; it does not adjudicate disputes between them or resolve overlaps. If two companies separately schedule the same worker for the same dates, that is between the worker and the companies.

5. Job postings and expressed interest

When an inspector expresses interest in a job, that is a signal — not an offer of employment. Hiring, terms, onboarding, and pay are negotiated directly between the worker and the inspection company. CoreInsp doesn't take a cut, doesn't broker the deal, doesn't act as an intermediary.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Post fraudulent jobs, fake company listings, or impersonate another person or business.
  • Use the platform to harass, defame, or discriminate against any user.
  • Scrape worker profiles or company data for commercial use outside the platform.
  • Misrepresent credentials, employment status, or relationship to a company.

CoreInsp may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

7. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided as-is during this pre-launch period. CoreInsp is not liable for hiring decisions made on the platform, credential accuracy, work disputes between workers and companies, or losses arising from the use or unavailability of the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We will update these terms when the platform changes — for example, when payments, calendar, or roster features go live. Material changes will be announced before they take effect.
